Clivia
Hi Everyone,
Last year, some folks on this list gave me advice on how to take care of
my yellow Clivia. It summered out on our northeast-facing porch and has
grown two or three new leaves. Now I have it in a northeast-facing window
behind a lace curtain. It's double-potted, a 5.5-inch clay pot inside a
heavy 6-inch ceramic pot. All of our windows have acrylic storm windows.
I read somewhere that Clivia are related to Amaryllis. My Amaryllis has
just started to grow and I'm wondering whether I should move the Clivia
to the same location in order to get it to bloom. This is a
southeast-facing window that receives unobstructed sun from sunrise to
about 11:30am - 12 noon. It seems like a drastic change. The only plants
that flower in my northeast-facing windows are African Violets and spider
plant.
Any advice?
Thanks,
Lois
