Re: Clivia
I think that an abrupt change to a lot of light would be unsettling
to the clivia. I have noticed that my clivias that are in a southeast-
facing bay window with lace curtains (dappled light but not intense)
come into bloom before the ones that are in a north-facing window
with no sunlight during the winter. I would move your plant to more
light but in stages, if possible.
They sunburn easily. One summer I put them outside under a mock
orange but they received morning sun and within days I had bleached
leaves. Had to cut out those leaves entirely. Now my clivias stay in
full shade when they're outdoors.
