Re: school gardens


Good points, Dee. I suspect there are quite a few of us on this list who
learned to grow from people who had been doing it for generations. My folks
came from the mines and as such, had always had subsistence gardens. The
gardens provided much more than food; they were the bright spots in
often-difficult lives. I find it remarkable that someone could be disdainful
of good work in fresh air.
