Re: spanish lavender


Have you tried Lavender Lady which blooms from seed the first yr? Most  
English lavenders will bloom early from cuttings. Spanish are more  tender and 
southerly but it is not difficult to get though. As a source for  containers 
maybe try Richters in Canada - they do bulk plugs of most of the  common 
herbs.

plant at  Indianapolis City Market, but it never bloomed. The grower brought 
in plugs  from Washington State (who knew it would be so hard to find this  
plant?)...which we won't do again. But I wonder if anyone can suggest why 
the  lavender did not bloom. I need an 'annual' good flowering lavender...the 
 perennial types might work and I'm considering them. For the summer, I try 
to  use edible plants in keeping with the food theme of the market.
