Thanks for this new-to-me information. I will add this to the unverified
fact that antivenin is used only once in a person's lifetime.
I heard from a local that one or more Canebrake Rattlesnakes have
been spotted in the Piedmont region of NC. Most people have assumed that
this area was free of rattlesnakes.
