Re: Plant by numbers
Try not to lose a lot of sleep over the Plant by Numbers thing. It's been
around for at least a couple of years; I mentioned it in a talk ages ago.
The manufacturer was very cooperative about providing slides.
Who needs garden writers when you can plant by numbers? The people who need
plant by numbers need you desperately. And I agree that any way you entice
people into the garden is a good way. Get 'em outdoors, and some will stick
around.
Also, I can't quite go along with the line in that promo, "a flowerbed
without the work." Preparing soil, laying ground cloth, planting plants and
spreading mulch sure sounds like work to me.
