garden show financing

I have a friend who exhibited twice at the Chelsea Flower Show (won
silver medals). As far as I know, she had no subsidy from the RHS. Her
village all pitched in to help, and the second year I believe David
Austin Roses donated the roses for the exhibit. I'm pretty sure the
event is a fund raiser for the RHS, not a venue for donating to
individual exhibiters.

P.S. To see my friend's work, go to http://allisonarmour.us The
introductory slide show includes photographs of her Chelsea exhibits as
well as her own garden.
