Re: Fw: garden columns


That may be a norm for slick magazines, but newspapers cannot afford 
that rate.  Over the next decade, I'd be very surprised if there are 
any newspapers printed on paper.  They will be up on websites 
unscrambled for paying subscribers.  I see the free classified ad 
sites on Internet, and the diminished classified sections of our 
print newspaper.  That's a huge revenue drop for any newspaper.  I 
wish anyone whose livelihood depends solely on garden writing the
