Re: Free Kindle version today: publishing guru Dan Poynter's book on writing and promoting your book

I'm listening, Doug. My ebooks offered so far have not been my paper top
sellers such as the trough book -- I don't want to mess up those sales by
giving away my best content. But little by little I am feeling more
confident about digital copies and plan to do several more.

Like you, I am letting the Kindle KDP-only agreement expire. This will
happen in June with mine.

The ebook version (or something) has given a lift to one of my books -- Rex
Murfitt's "Creating and Planting Alpine Gardens" which is aimed at a small
group of readers. I think maybe it's the easily available free preview, 10
percent of the book (a GWA award winner for writing).

One interesting analytic factor would be how many people get the free
preview. Amazon does not tell.

I would love to hear from other ebook publishers.

Cheers, Betty
