Did anyone lose plants during this harsh winter that had survived for years in their gardens? It might be useful to assemble a list. Most surprisingly, I lost several 20 year old colonies of sempervivums. Also most of the Euphorbia myrsinites, some sedums, oriental poppy, one buddlea (maybe).
Second question. Does anyone know why boxwood cuttings donât compost? If I throw my hedge clippings in the compost pile, and even if I cut them up they are still there a year later when I harvest the compost.
