Not to sound pedantic, but isn't the first the only true option?  Sure,
you may have seen the other two in use, but according to the International
Code of Botanic Nomenclature and the International Code of Nomenclature for
Cultivated Plants they're wrong.

Granted, this doesn't cover the newer trends with trademarked names and the
like, but it should address most plant naming needs.
