I know of many people who swear by LinkedIn, but I honestly don't
know why. They spam like crazy, often have their servers hacked, and
don't seem to offer much.
In fact, their spam got so bad that I ended up blocking messages from
them at my 'day job'. Amazingly, once they were blocked people in
*our* organization started complaining.
I guess my take-away is that I don't think it offers anything new or
useful, but some people really do rely on it. I can't fathom why.
