Re: Startling statistic


I think a lot of homeowners and gardeners would choose and use organics if
they were aware these products are readily available and in many cases are
as effective and the synthetics. However, sorting your way through the maze
of products on store shelves is not easy. Most folks take the easy way out
and rely on the sales folk for a recommendation. And, the sales folk,
pressed for time, grab the old standby and move on.

Case in point, Sluggo, also sold by Schultz under the name Slug and Snail
Bait. This environmentally friendly slug bait has been on the market for
several years and is readily available. But the poisonous stuff from Ortho
is still the top seller.  We need a sticker program? A fancy EFP
(environmentally friendly product) slapped on the front of the containers.
