Re: [GWL]: re product placements
The very funny novelist, the recently deceased Mordecai Richler, once wrote
a novel in which the hero drank Glen Livet single malt. He had the bright
idea to change his hero's favorite scotch to the more prestigious $100-plus
a bottle Macallan brand. Because he was not computerized, each reference in
the manuscript had to be changed by hand, a painstaking process as the
characters were a hard drinking lot. After the book was published, he
received a case of the stuff from the grateful distillers and thereafter
faithfully tippled Macallan.
Hmm...now how do you suppose I could work my favorite single malt into a
gardening book?
