Re: [GWL]: Integral Urban House

We have had a compost toilet of one sort or another for 22 years and while
they take some work, I don't even know what the savings could be by now on
things like water and having the septic tank pumped (tank was required by
the county, irregardless, since we still have gray water).  I've tried to
sell an article on our experiences with toilets, but no one seems to be
interested these days.  At least that will pay for it.  I think highly
enough of the toilet to have put a link on my website to the company that
made ours, Phoenix.  They started out selling Clivus Multrum and designed
their own.  They are good enough that the Forest Service has bought a lot of
them to use in the woods.  The only electricity needed is for a small vent
fan, and the toilet manufacturer has a solar cell that can be mounted up on
a tree out of sight to power the fan.
