unbelievable that they could been brought to America by Norwegians .. I
think many immigrants, especially from farms, brought with them a lot of
different kind of plants. To day this would not been allowed.

I can agree that European red elderberries are the most ornamental of the
two, but the black are more usefull. Not only the berries can be used, but
also flowers to make tea of. I also think the red berried have one variety
with varigated leaves.
