Well sure, if you live in Georgia. How cold does it get down there on a blustery February morning, about 28?

We over wintered about 5,000 hostas in pots here just N/E of Atlanta. We over winter hostas on landscape fabric in our heavily wooded sales area. Hardly any losses. We do a walk around every couple of weeks to check for overturned pots from squirrels and the occasional fallen limb.
We also dig and divide hostas all winter with no ill effect. In our pots we use 100% ground pine bark.
