Never take Amarylus for granted

Once again, sorry to those on both lists, but advise coming from each is
terrific.

Following the experts on amarylus flowering, I have done quite well this
year.

To review: when green tip shows, start wateriong and keep watering but don't
flood.
When leaves are about six inches long, start to fertilize. Flower will come
(usually).
When done flowering, keep in bright, sunny spot and continue to fertilize
through summer. In fall, stop watering and let leaves die down, then cut
off. Rest, start over again when you see green tip.

So far 5 of 10 have flowered (some are young bulb offshoots of a mother plant
which I repotted) in a series which has kept us all breathless and I'm fully
confident more will come.

So? what's the problem: I gave away one in March which I understand flowered
magnificently. The plant was retu;rned to me to over-summer and all leaves
are drooping
NOW. So experts please: do I stop water and cut down? or keep fertilizing
and look the other way at the droop? or something else I couldn't even
imagine.

Awaiting your replies..
