it sounds like Kalanchoe daigretmontiana, a weed in many greenhouses
because the plantlets keep dropping and growing in every other pot.  i
have one growing out of my Haemanthus albiflos.  i don't take care of it,
but i guess bright light and comfortable temperatures.  i don't think it
is a finicky plant at all.  good luck.
