I got a banana plant towards the end of the summer. Big mistake and I
should have known better (I don't have the capability to give it enough
light). Well, it is slowly dying but I'm trying to save it. The other
day I noticed two shoots growing up out of the dirt near the base. They
are definitely not grass or anything else foreign. Is the tree trying to
save itself? I didn't think that they could branch like that. Does
anyone know what is going on?
One other question: I once read that crushed pistachio shells are good
to mix in the dirt. Does anyone know if this is true or not?
