Areca Palm ( Yellow Butterfly Palm)needs warm partial sun, sandy soil kept
constantly moist. Grown in dense clusters with heavy feathery foliage
hiding most of the stems. The stalks are naturally yellowish , the plant
needs warmth and moisture. Throws out many suckers that can be divided
into new plants. The common name areca palm, is not to be confused with the
genus Areca, which is a palm of a differnt color entirely, including the
species A. Cathecu, the beetle nut palm.
