Hello Rosarians,
This is a small cry for help about the rose varieties for which I can't
seem to
find any information. I have gone from my first 2 J & P roses to now 47 rose
bushes just since January. Most of them, I have been able to get
descriptions
for and put them on my
webpage about roses. I have used various websites and Modern Roses 10
and
the IRAR Supplement 3 to find several of the descriptions and done my best to
give credit where credit is due. Here is my list of roses for which I
haven't
been able to find descriptions (for one reason or another). I am now putting
out a call for HELP.
Here is my list.
"Cuddles" This is an ARS Award of Excellence winner but must be older than
the supplement. I had already checked back in the copy of MR10 to the HRS
library (Murphy's Law I guess). Can someone look this up for me??
"Blue Cupido" (RUIbleu) (Pat. # 9735) I have the impression from the official
name that this is a fairly new rose by Gjis deRuiter of Holland. It is pretty
but I haven't found anything in MR10 or Supplement 3.
"Canyon Cupido" (P.P.A.F.) and P.B.R. applied for --- That indicates it is
even
newer than the others and is also a Gjis deRuiter of Holland rose.
"Cherry Cupido" (RUIjef) (Pat. # 9635) I have the same impression from the
official name that this is a fairly new rose by Gjis deRuiter of Holland. It
has very pretty deep cherry red simple blooms but I haven't found anything in
MR10 or Supplement 3.
"Orange" (POULroar) (P.P.A.F.) This baby was a gift to my wife from her
boss.
That is rather funny as just after i acquired the two roses at the HRS spring
show on Saturday, she adamantly stated "No more Roses, for now!" She couldn't
blame this on me. He! He! It has rather simple orange/red blooms.
Sweet Mini-Wonder (MEIlipo) (p.p. # 8504) This pretty little pink rose is a
Meilland rose and I could not find it in either MR10 or in the Supplement 3.
I tried to contact Meilland directly but have not gotten a response yet. I
may
try again soon.
Well these are the ones I don't have any descriptive information and would
sure
like to get some. HELP me Fellow Rosarians!!! PLEASE.
TIA Bill G.
