don't know anything about roses

Hi Patti,

I didn't really pay to much attention to the flowers.  From what I
remember the buds seemed to open all at once, the flowers had many
petals that didn't keep a cone shape.  The flowers were small when
open...about 1 1/2-2 inches across.  I think, but I am not sure, that
the petals were ruffled.  They didn't have much for stems, they had a
main branch that would get bunches of leaves ever now and then that the
buds would form in.  I'm not saying that very clearly.  If I were to cut
some to bring in, there wasn't more than 1-2 inches of stem to put in a
vase.  They were not very tall, maybe 18", but scraggly.

Before we moved, they were on the south side of the house, but they did
not have much direct sum.  There were some hugh trees that blocked most
of the direct sun.  They are about two feet from the house and it was a
wet fall, so maybe that is my problem.  I did notice that the ground
seemed to be very moist all the time.  Do you think I will need to move
them again?
