Re: new biological antidote for powdery mildew

Joanie,

<<Boy, it sure is quiet on the rose list. Does anyone have any experience
with
the mini called 'Sun Sprinkles'? I just started with a few mini's last year
and found them to be extremely floriferous.>>

Huh...hmmm? wha...? i was hibernating. :--)
I haven't got any minis - i have lots of ground to cover and need
BIG plants or lots of them. Resolution: This is THE year that i
learn to propagate plants - and i stick WITH IT! (that is the
way i talk to myself when i make new year's resolutions.)

<<Does anyone know of this product or have more info on it?>>

i have not heard of the product - but i often wonder how much
powdery mildew affects a plant's health. is it only cosmetic?
or is the mildew actually reducing a plants ability to photosynthesize?

PM has been a minor problem for me so far. but this sounds
promising. If you try it, remember to report back to us.

I have begun to muse about this years veggie garden, but
haven't given much thought to the roses. I am getting interested
in old 'antique' apples. Anybody combining apples and roses?
The prickly question there is picking roses that won't be a problem
come apple season.

I'm going back into my den,
