My roses are in mixed borders with soaker
hoses running throughout. Each bed gets
watered about every 10 days. But I try to soak
them additionally (especially those in hot dry
or dry shade conditions) as I do some
handwatering of pots, etc., or during really hot
times (90 F. +). I also soak them individually
for about 15-30 minues with a sprinkler when I
fertilize every 6 weeks during the season. Here
in Oregon, extra water is usually only needed in
July, August and September.

Heat? What heat! Not much heat here in
winter! :)
Tell you what, you send a few degrees over here
if you like, (although it is
quite mild at the moment.
Just wondering though, as a matter of interest,
anyone want to share how you
water your roses? (i.e. Hose, sprinkler, watering
can, underground piping,
hose with small holes layed between bushes,
automatic, manual, children?
