Val
the discussion about own-root verses grafted came at an ideal time. I
recieved just today my Sally Holmes Rose in the mail today, read
the planting instructions and they advised planting at ground level.
then turned on my coputer to check my e-mail and there was the posting
about instruction on planting. needless to say I followed the advice
given in the messages. this is hands-on experience so I trust it
more.
the advice couldn't have come at a better time. like you I perfer
own-root plants, but couldn't resist this one.
thanks to all who posted
