We have found Simpicity Roses to be both very hardy and an excellent
season long bloomer here in Southwestern Michigan, Zone 5. They can be
very attractive. We have used them successfully along walks, drives,
pathways, and along small fences. Since you are only purchasing 6 plants
we assume you have only a small area of fence line, 8-10 feet long. We
would not say that they offer much screening and after 4 seasons none of
the ones we have used are anywhere near the height of your fence.
If it is privacy you want there are some better roses. If it is the
blooming feature you like about the Simplcity then use them in
combination with some other varieties. Some of the newer shrub roses
could provide a backdrop for the Simplcity.
