Jeff,
Again, Grigsby was trying to make sure that he had a dwarf before selling
this plant. That is why he grew this plant in a big barrel to encourage
maturing.
Well, it did not.
So again, stunting by keeping it in a small pot did not produce the dwarf.
The dwarf is a sport that appeared spontaneously in the same manner as
'Hahnii' did or 'Okeechobee'. They refuse to grow larger until.... one good
day they decide to do it and they grow large.
May be, if you try to keep it small in a crowded pot it may grow large.
May be, if you try to make it grow to maturity in a large pot it will stay
dwarf (as with the barrel)
What causes this I do not know.
