Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
For all of us fans of those great strawberry pots, here's a tip:
Prepare a piece of PVC pipe the same height as the pot, by drilling holes all
down the length of the pipe. Fill the pot with the usual layer of drainage
material and insert the PVC pipe. Now fill the pot and plant as usual. (Be
careful not to get the pipe filled with soil!) Now when you water, fill the
pipe and the moisture will be distributed evenly throughout the entire pot!
This has worked wonders for me over the years. I have 3 of these pots. One
holds strawberries, one is a succulent garden, and the other I plant up every
spring with annuals.
Good luck all!
And happy gardening!
