Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
Hello, I am new to the listserv and thought I'd introduce
myself. I became interested in sq ft gardening in the mid
80's. Had 2 successful seasons and had to move. At the new
place I dug two 4x4 blocks and, over the years, kind of half
heartedly planted in it. Now that my son is grown and off to
college, I am really excited about this planting season (I
have so much time on my hands...no soccer season!). I
expanded the garden to two 4x6 blocks and have planted
spinach, snow peas and lettuce so far.
I live in middle Tennessee (zone 6 according to a zip code
map I found on the web) and we are enjoying some very warm
weather.
I have a problem with moles in my yard (I live on a
lake)...my partner and I dug a trench around the garden and
installed hardware cloth. Hope that prevents them from
entering the garden.
If anybody out there has a success story on ridding the yard
of moles, I sure would like to hear it.
Sorry for the long post...Thanks and happy planting.
Lisa Cummings
