Re: Grow-lights...

Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html

Hi Dawn,

You will soon find, like Lisa, that one 2-foot light is not enough. I
tried the angling thing, and the booster method, with a 4-foot
shoplight. The light cost about $7, plus one warm and one cool
fluorescent tube (same results as the more expensive grow lights).

Soon the tomatoes had far outstripped the peppers, and the basil was
even further behind. Trying to juggle different methods of boosting the
plants got very awkward. So I got a second light.

Now my other seeds have arrived, and I need yet another one!

My suggestion is to go ahead and build a three-shelf seedling station
with adjustable lights for each shelf. Several possible methods of
construction come to mind. I'll let you know which one I settle on!

Good luck.
