Hello all!

Question - I'm a first-time sqft gardener.  Planted sweet corn, it's about
18" high so far...... dh says that corn's root system is so limited that it
needs packed soil to help it stand.  If it's not packed, it'll topple in
high winds.  Is this so?  If so, what do I need to do?
