Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
Hi.
I am also a new SFG. I live in a townhouse with a yard that is nothing
but shade. This will be my first year of renting space in the community
garden down the street that gets 100% sun. Here are my two questions:
1. My area is approximately 50' length x 30' width. Let us say I decide on
three 4x4s with 2 foot walkways all around. The question is, what do I do
with the rest of the space?
2. There is no water faucet at the garden. I would be interested in
hearing how other people in this situation go about collecting water
and/or bring it to the site. At the moment, I am thinking about getting a
few large Rubbermaid storage containers to leave out to catch rain water
and bring extra jugs of water from home, as needed. I plan on using a
thick layer of mulch and praying for a summer slightly cooler than last
summer!
Thanks in advance for any ideas.
Best regards,
Katherine
