I also read somewhere (seed catalog, perhaps?) that the ones in your yard
that  get cut down, will be more bitter, than a cultivated dandelion.  It
has something to do with being cut down, (I think they were referring to
lawn mower, versus harvesting).  Don't know about this, I've never had the
guts to try eating a dandelion.  I'll see if I can find the reference about
the dandelion in the seed catalog...
