Bill -How about the link to your beautiful gardens?
I have filed it away under" misc", and would love to see all those clematis!
About wanting to plant something-I'm positively itchy! Remeber last year when I
was afraid to put my seedlings out into ground?!LOLOL!!!!Now I am chomping at
the bit. Got to be careful or I'll kill everything before it gets started! But-
You guys gotta understand- One day it is 69 degrees and sunny. Then 65 for two
pr three days and a bit cloudy then sunny and 72, then a little rain, then 50
and cloudy then sunny again then a bit of rain then sunny for f ew days and then
we get 32degrees then sunny 72dgrees and then torrents of rain for
week then a week of 50 degrees and wind and then a week of sunny 65.Then
just as you think you can bring out the house plants you get a hard frost
warning so you rush to bring them back in and cover all your bouganvilla and
ferns and begonias with sheets and then it rains instead(!) and so you run
out at 2 in the morning and uncover everything and then it goes
hails at 10 the next morning and kills everything plus all the
geramiums anyway.OR you NEVER have ANY frost the whole entire winter
and you could have hardened year round It is so confusing to be
in Northern California in the winter.I am thinking about doing hoop houses oiver
the beds with PVC pipes and plastic to warm up the soil and to maybe get things
going sooner or at least to give what ever gets planted some consistency. Folks
around here that do traditional gardening just don't plant things until April
and then only a few things but don't plant most things until June which seems
like such a waste of seasons to me considering how mild it is for so much of the
year here.I know people do amazing things with cold frames and minigreen houses
and such so I don't see why I can't try getting more out of the season
--especially with raised beds- but then maybe I am just an idiot.,Suggestions
welcome. By the way- my best to your family Bill-Teri
