Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
Kristine,
I'm from MI and the heat and humidity the last few days have been horrible
here also. My cucumbers are suffering the most. I water as often as
possible and each time I go out, the ground is as dry as before. It is
evaporating before the plants get the needed moisture. I did put some grass
mulch down in hopes of keeping in some moisture. I lost 1 plant already
and fear for the rest. I was off for 4 days and could tend to them more and
now that I'm back at work, I can not check on them as frequently. I was
thinking of getting some shade cloth for the hot, humid days. That will
probably help during the peak sun time. I think my tomato plants would
benefit as well. They look a little heat stressed too.
From the forecast, I should have a break in the heat the next couple of
days. Hope you have the same.
