Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
Dear List members,
I'm relatively new to sqft gardening...gardening of
*any* sort, actually. I've been really impressed
by the way sqft gardening actually succeeds so
well. Lately, though, I've run into a problem <sigh>
There's a couple of dogs in the neighborhood that
have started coming by (in a small pack) every
a.m. and are "marking" the corners of my raised
beds. Worse than that, they're not just hitting
the wood of the raised beds. I'm losing plants over this.
(unhappy look)
It will be at least a week before I can get my fence
completed. In the meantime, is there something I
can do to a) deter unwelcome canine visitors and
b) neutralize the urine/save my plants????
And yes, I know the best solution is for neighbors
to keep their dogs under control. I'm not going
to get into a confrontation w/folks on the block,
though, just quietly put up my fence. In the meantime,
if you've any suggestions on saving my plants I'd
really love to hear them....
Thank you in advance,
Chomi
