Tracie,

The catepillars are tomato horn worms.  I have begun to see them 
in my garden too.  Instead of using anything on them, I just pull 
them off the plant and drop into a container of soapy water.  I do 
the same with the japanese beetles.  I used to squish them, but 
they are too numerous these days.
