Hi Elgin, you wrote:

Absolutely yes. I find a whole banana peel breaks down much faster in
my compost pile than a half egg shell, which I usually have to crush.
>Rabbit BMs?....could they go directly to the garden?
I believe so, since they are vegetarians. But I would still compost
them, being somewhat superstitious about animal wastes and bacteria...

Absolutely not used kitty litter. Cats harbor a bacteria or something
that can affect pregnant woven or their fetuses, and composting doesn't
seem to solve the problem. As to leftover, unused and pristine pure
kitty litter, we use the kind made from recycled newsprint or some such.
It has no dyes or scents, and is not "scoopable". I think it could be put
into the compost pile a little at a time, but I can think of many other
uses that would be better, such as soaking up oil spots in the driveway
or using it as a sweeping compound in the garage.

I add my kitchen leavings to the compost pile once a week, so by
necessity I turn my once a week. Seems to work fine. I get good
compost in about 8 weeks, and better at about 12.
Hope this helps.
