Dot: I've recently seen several suggestions for this problem, never tried it myself. Louisse Riotte in her book 'Carrots Love Tomatoes' suggests spraying with chive tea, and also sprinkling with sulphur dust. Try to keep the foliage as dry as possible. Also have heard a spray of baking soda in water may help. The only suggestion with exact directions I have is a spray made of 1 T. Epsom Salts to a gallon of water. You can also add in some horticulture oil, this person used it without with much success on cukes, cantelope, etc. Epsom Salts are also good for magnesium deficiency in plants, I hear.
