Todd,
Be very careful with that stuff. Make sure you find out if they use
defoliant on the cotton plants before picking it. Alot of cotton growers
do. It's easier to run the machines down the rows if there are no leaves in
the way. The problem when you use this "trash" is that the defoliant will
kill all your emerging plants. My grandma lost a whole year of growing
anything 'cause she used contaminated "cotton trash".
After a year of watering daily, ammending with everything, and bringing in
some new soil she can finally grow again.
The stuff is great if it's organic to start with though.
