Every one of every variety of squash which I planted in March has been
destroyed, presumably by the dreaded Squash Vine borer. The vines have been
beautiful, but near the base it has been eaten into and sooner or later all
the vine turns yellow and dies. I have pulled all the old vines up, and was
wondering if it was too late to plant zucchini and other varieties of
squash. It is my understanding that the squash vine borer is worse in May,
and after that I may not have a problem. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Any help is greatly appreciated, TIA, Richard Dillon

Go ahead and try it again..you should have plenty of time to catch up, and
I've also heard that the borer problem decreases by June!!
good luck!!
