I get free woodchips the same way. And many municipalities offer
free compost as well. So if you haven't checked with your municipal
authorities lately, it is worth a check. I have also heard of people
getting a free delivery from the utility companies. Seems they need
to cut off tree limbs that get in the way of utility lines, and they
chip them up.
