If perpetual spinach is a type of Swiss chard (_Beta vulgaris cicla_), then
it cannot be the same thing as New Zealand spinach (_Tetragonia
tetragonioides_). N.Z. spinach has a vine habit and is unrelated to Swiss
chard and "true" spinach.
I've never attempted spinach because i don't like it, but Swiss chard sounds
like a good alternative for my tropical climate.
