For the home garden, are there many disadvantages in using longer raised beds? I have just purchased a bunch of 16 foot cedar 2 X 6's to border the raised beds. I am trying to decide whether to lay out a couple of 4 by 16 foot beds or a group of 4 by 4 squares. I like being able to easily work around all four sides of the squares. However, with limited sunny area in my new yard, I'm anxious to squeeze out maximum space. Do the traditional 4 by 4 squares offer greater utility in building covers and frames? Thanks. --Ted Patterson, outside Phila. *************************************************************************** To unsubscribe, send to: listserv@umslvma.umsl.edu the body message: unsubscribe sqft See http://www.umsl.edu/~silvest/garden/sqft.html for archive, FAQ and more.
