Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
Hi! We're new to sqft. and this is our weekend to try and get our
garden soil amended and the beds laid out before winter. The big
question is, what's a simple and reliable formula of amendments to use?
(the library's only copy of Mel's book is checked out---%^*&!) So far
everything we've grown conventionally has thrived, so our soil seems
pretty healthy. We haven't had it tested. We've mulched with grass
clippings all season, but that's all we've done. What else should we
add to the soil, and how much? (We're planning to put in eight 4x4 beds
and half a dozen vertical frames for tomatoes, squash, etc.) We just
moved, so we don't have any usable compost at the moment, but quite a
pile of grass clippings mixed with dry leaves, thanks to the season.
