I've got a dumb question--- but the dumbest question is the one you don't
ask, right?

I know that Mel's "special soil formula" is 1/3 coarse vermiculite, 1/3
peat moss, and 1/3 well-rotted compost, right?  

Well, do you put that ON TOP OF your regular dirt, or do you mix it INTO
your regular dirt?

If on top: do you dig up your regular dirt, and then just shovel the, uh,
Melsoil on top of it?  Or do you just let your regular dirt lay there, hard
as can be, and shovel the Melsoil on top of it?

If you mix it in: how much dirt mixes into how much Melsoil?  50/50?
