I received a posting from a few people who talked about worm composting. I'd
like to talk with you again to remind myself of your suggestions. Please
respond by personal email so we don't tie up the lines with possible
off-topic chatter.
Margaret Sinclair are you there? You sent an article on the "how to's" of
worm composting. Could you clarify your understanding of the type and size of
bin, and where and how many ventilation holes to drill? Should I cover the
bin (with ventilation holes) or leave it open?
Another person posted an address on where to get worms. Could I have that
address again? And why do I want to *buy* worms? Can't I just go outside and
dig up a bundle after a rainstorm? It sure works for fishing worms.
I want to use one of my 4 x 4 squares as a worm composter in the basement
since I already have one 4 x 4 square under two grow lights that provides me
with plenty of veggies during the winter and spring months. No one would know
there were worms inside. It would look just like my usual garden, although it
might be another interesting conversation piece. My multiple square foot
gardens are a source of discussion and inquiry in my small Vermont town.
Again, I welcome anyone with comments or suggestions on this topic. I
emphasize to respond by personal email which is at the top. Oh, what the
heck. Here it is, too:

Thank you.
