Hey, that helps me! I did not know about the color & pattern classification. (shows my youth! haha!) A "self" must have a self-colored beard, then. One photo in the wiki has a plicata patterning. The other photo has a BRIGHT yellow beard and haft with greyed standards. Then would both photos of it in the Wiki be mis-identified?! (Please, no offense intended to anyone.... I certainly know how hard it is to keep track of historic iris, especially when the hybridizer isn't around to refer to!)
Thanks, Chuck. By the way, your method for seed germination has scored again. Last year I had to have had more than 75%. I just started my second year using it.
