Re: Iris graminea seeds question

The seed last year (SIGNA 15CR027) was Iris tectorum based on the flowers of the parent plant. Seeds of that species are not expected to have an aril, even though those seeds appeared to have a small one. I have two seedlings, but it will be at least another year before they bloom and could be longer.

Did you get the seeds from SIGNA seed sale?
As seed sale chairman, I want to know about any seeds that aren't what they are supposed to be.
It seems that someone said some seeds had arils which chouldn't have had arils last year.  I don't remember what they were supposed to have been, nor have I heard what they turned out to be.
We don't want iris being mis-identified, and want to clear up any that are.
